Orion's Neb

As promised. This my first attempt using equipment purchased from SCS.(Orion ST80, with ext tube, & the G3 Starshoot colour CCD) The image was taken using a Celestron C8 SCT, on a CG-5 Advanced GOTO mount, Orion G3 Starshoot CCD, Meade F3.3 Focal reducer & UV/IR filter. The ST80 was piggy backed on to a Celestron C8 SCT using celestron's guide rings for autoguiding. The Nexguide Autoguider was used for guiding. The Orion extention tube fitted to the ST80 is required in order for the Nexguide to reach focus. I used a Celestron 9mm Plossel eye piece with the parfocal ring attached, as a parfocal eyepiece. I have had a little play in Photoshop. With all considered, & taken in my back garden with heavy street lighting, I am very pleased with this image as a first attempt.
